Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR)
State law and American Veterinary Medical Association guidelines require veterinarians to establish and maintain a VCPR with you and your pet in order to dispense or prescribe medications or recommend treatments.
A VCPR is established only when a veterinarian examines your pet in person, and is maintained by regular veterinary visits to monitor your pet’s healthy. It is our policy that a VCPR exists only when your pet has been examined by one of our veterinarians within the past year.
Appointment Policy
To allow ample time for all patients who have exams, technician visits, and surgery, we require appointments for all pets.
Emergencies are seen with priority, so please understand that there are sometimes delays, but we do make every effort to see your pet at their scheduled appointment time.
Cancellations
In consideration of our other patients and staff, if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for any reason, we ask that you call the office at least 24 hours in advance, or you account will be charged a $50.00 fee.
Payment Policy
Payment for all treatments, products, and services is required at the time of service.
We accept a variety of payment options, including cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
We do not accept American Express.
Pet Insurance
There are multiple options for pet insurance to cover wellness and / or major medical needs for your pet. Ask us how you can start a free 2 month trial.
Please note that you are responsible for payment to our office at the time of service and will be reimbursed by your insurance company, based on your policy and the services provided.
CareCredit
CareCredit is a personal line of credit that can be used for veterinary healthcare with no upfront or annual fees and no interest for six months.
You can apply for CareCredit online or call their toll free number at 1-800-365-8295.
Please note that we require a minimum of $250 for all CareCredit transactions. If the entire amount is not used on the current visit, it will be rolled over as a credit on your account for your next visit.
Leashes and Pet Carriers
For the safety of all of our patients and clients, we ask that all dogs are brought into the hospital on a leash, and all cats are brought into the hospital in a carrier. We ask that they remain on leash or in carriers any time that they are in the reception area.
If you do not have a leash or carrier, we can provide you with one for your visit. Please let us know before you arrive, so we can bring one to your car.
Vaccine Policy
We require all patients who will be admitted into the hospital to be up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines, at a minimum.
Flea Policy
We check all patients who are admitted into the hospital for surgery or in-hospital treatment for fleas. If fleas or flea dirt are found, we will treat your pet for their health and to help prevent the fleas from spreading to other patients.
